Askham-in-Furness Kitchen
This family kitchen renovation was designed to evolve with the clients’ lifestyle as their children grew older, creating a multifunctional space that balances practicality with style. The brief was to deliver a kitchen, dining, and living area that could also serve as a second lounge and entertaining hub.
The cabinetry is finished in a textured black concrete effect with a sleek handleless design, paired with bold, patterned marble-effect quartz worktops. A feature downturn on the island creates a substantial breakfast bar with seating, while the island itself cleverly incorporates a television, positioned for viewing from both the lounge and dining zones.
A tall bank of units is framed in slatted oak panels, complementing other oak features throughout the home. Within this, two Siemens ovens and a fridge freezer are seamlessly integrated. A slimline pantry provides hidden storage for everyday appliances, ensuring a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. A concealed ‘secret’ door also leads through to the client’s utility room, adding both functionality and flow to the design.
The result is a warm, modern space that feels both practical and sophisticated — perfectly suited to family living and relaxed entertaining.
Andrew was amazing from start to finish. I knew I was going to be happy with my purchase, but the service and finish exceeded all my expectations.
We talked to Andrew and explained we were a large busy family that like to spend our time together cooking, talking and chilling and that’s exactly what he delivered for us.
During the install, he was on site every morning, checking in with us and the tradesmen, nothing was too much trouble, even down to helping me choose paint colours and accessories. The kitchen looks amazing as is the quality of all the materials.
Cannot recommend this company enough, even our joiners commented on how “on hand” Andrew was and how perfectly everything fits and how much thought had gone into the design.
